How can I transform my old jewellery into a new, unique piece?
You're in the right place. We specialise in transforming old, unloved and inherited jewellery into Legacy pieces that not only reflect your individual style and personality but also carry special stories and memories. These pieces serve as a tangible connection to your personal history, family traditions, and values, encapsulated in a beautifully crafted jewel that you can cherish for years to come.
Why can't my local jeweller do this for me?
We have created hundreds of Legacy pieces for hundreds of clients and each and every one has been thrilled and delighted, both with the experience and the end result. Our 5* reviews and glowing testimonials are testament to the care and dedication we devote to each client and their Legacy journey. We have clients who return to us time and time again, bringing family members and friends to experience the magic of Legacy. Unlike many jewellers who offer this service, this is all we do. It is what we specialise in. It is tricky, complicated and time-consuming work that requires an inordinate amount of skill and expertise combined with design flare.
What happens if I don't like the finished piece?
We have created a design experience to guarantee that this cannot happen. Your designs are photo-realistic, giving you a clear vision of what your completed piece will look like - down to the very last detail. If you have any doubts prior to us getting started, we will recommend having a wax model created of your design, so you can try it on and double check every detail is perfect for you.
How long does the process take?
Once you have approved your design and you're ready to get started, it takes around 8-10 weeks to create your Legacy jewellery. You will be kept updated regularly throughout the creation process.
How much does it cost?
The cost depends on a number of factors including the design, the number of gemstones (which may require unsetting, cleaning, calibrating and repolishing), the precious metal, finger size and intricacy of design. The weight, depth and width of the design also impact on the amount of precious metal and therefore the cost. However, we aim to offer a service that is both affordable and invaluable in terms of the sentimental value it brings to our customers. As a guide, prices typically start from around £2000 for a Legacy ring and £750 for a Legacy pendant.
What can be re-used in a new Legacy piece of jewellery?
We have worked with all kinds of old pieces of jewellery and gemstones. We have created new Legacy pieces using diamonds, emeralds, rubies, sapphires, tanzanites, amethysts, aquamarines, topaz and quartz. Gold can be re-used, but sadly due to its chemical make-up, platinum cannot.
How does the process work?
It all starts with a Discovery Call. This is an opportunity for you to ask questions about your jewellery and share your design ideas and hopes for your Legacy jewellery. It is also an opportunity for us to discover the history and stories behind your jewellery and establish the most important pieces to be used in your Legacy design. Then, we get started on your designs!
